While the idea of marriage mostly brings us the idea of having a long term partner and family, we often do not think of marrying someone in a way that we relate it to having friends. In fact, when people get married, the first thing that we would conceive about it is all about how to strengthen couple relationships or building a family. Yet, in actual life, making marriages strong and making them last can also be attributed to the fact that married couples are not separate from other people. Once we get married, we do not and should not isolate ourselves from other people. In fact, when we get married, we have all the more reason to go out, as well as to make individual and couple friends.

Being part of a marriage means that we are now part of a new unit of society. This means that we now have the responsibility to form a family of our own and establish our own roles in the community and in society. With these facts, we must also be aware that we can strengthen ourselves for this role if we continue interaction and relationships with other people outside the family. Getting married should not stop us from making new friends and acquaintances.

Eventually in time books and paper will fade and crumble, CDs and computers will age and be thrown away, yet radio waves in space will travel for millions and billions of years, making our words and thoughts immortal. Think about it. My novels could be read by a new unknown species far away, another place, another time! Its like sending your information through a time machine into the future.

My name is Scott C. Waring and on December 17, 2008 and January 11, 2009 I sent my two novels Georges Pond and Wests Time Machine, into deep space making them the first ever novels in the world to ever by shot into space in word perfect format, including photographs of the front and back covers. Understand that at this very minute they are traveling at the speed of light across the universe. That means they are traveling 186,000 miles per second, yet in one day it will travel over 16 billion miles and in one full year it will have traveled over 5.8 trillion miles! Now that is something to crow about. I also plan to do this with my next two novels, Dragons of Asgard & UFO Sightings of 2006-2008.
To accomplish this I went to www.talk2ets.com. They are a fantastic company that offers to send up to 2MB of information + 1000 words more for a small price. They us the most current satellite technology using satellite-to-space technology for sending info. They use a six meter parabolic reflector dish and a powerful 500+ watt BUCs (block up-converters) to accomplish the transmission. They took my two novels and coupled it to a carrier wave that they believe is most likely to be noticed by any intelligent technologies around the universe. They not only send the information, but they sent it four times, once every six hours so that it covers all directions, giving my book the greatest chance of being noticed by an intelligent species out there!

“The sky is falling, the sky is falling!” Perhaps you are familiar with the story of Chicken Little. Do you know anyone like that? Do you know several people like that? Do you find that after you are exposed to these people that you begin to think a bit more gloomy than usual?

It’s been said, that “In 10 years our lives will be a reflection of the people we hung around with and the books we read.” I know this has certainly been the case for me. I don’t spend time with just anyone, and one of my challenges for 2009 (truly) is to figure out where I’m going to house my ever increasing library. I’m running out of room. And anyone who knows me will tell you that I would throw out the couch before I would get rid of any of my books.

You’ve heard their names, seen the TV adverts, and quite possibly paid them money for your gas and electricity, but what else do you know about Britain’s ‘Big 6′ energy providers.

The Big Six
There are around 20 different gas and electricity suppliers in Britain. They all offer a range of tariffs, from cheap deals to ones that help you go green, but it’s fair to say that six of them in particular dominate the energy market.

British Gas
British Gas is the leading energy provider in the UK, supplying over 11,000,000 homes with gas and over six million homes with electricity. The company is part of Centrica plc; a UK quoted FTSE 100 energy company, and is also involved in related energy activities across the United States, Canada and some parts of Europe.

Curcumin is a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory that has the potential to provide far-reaching health benefits. It has been shown to be helpful in rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatitis, Alzheimer’s disease, heart disease, diabetic retinopathy, and cancer. All of these diseases share underlying inflammation that curcumin may help to diminish.

If you have ever eaten curry or cooked with the spice turmeric, you’ve consumed curcumin. It is obtained from the roots of Curcuma longa and consists of several curcuminoids. Turmeric is biologically related to ginger. Curcumin works as an antioxidant, boosting levels of glutathione S-transferase, which is one of the body’s principal antioxidants. This antioxidant blocks the formation of prostaglandin E2, which is a compound that promotes inflammation within the body. Curcumin also inhibits two inflammation-promoting enzymes: COX-2 and 5-LOX. Additionally, curcumin is able to prevent mutations to DNA, which is an effect that helps to maintain younger, healthier cells.

Whether it is from Starbucks, an Aeropress, or the vending machine down the hall, the beans that make your cup of coffee are likely to have come from just a handful of countries. However, the importance of the process by which the beans have been grown, and by whom, have only recently been contemplated by the average westerner in recent years through the rise of fair trade initiatives. What follows is a comprehensive list of the top coffee producers by region.

Brazil in South America is the largest coffee producer in the world at 17,000,000 tonnes in 2008. Alongside its other major agricultural exports, such as soybeans, rice, and beef, the government has recently implemented The Land Reform Program in an aim to generate two million jobs. In recent years, the devastating encroachment of the agriculture industry on the Amazon rainforest has led to criticism on the country’s green policy. Subsequently, the government have since implemented an Environmental Crimes Law. Interestingly the country only ranks 19th in terms of average coffee consumption per person.
